DESCRIPTION:
Avocado Grove is a stylish, spacious self-catering guest house located on the outskirts of the charming town of White River, only 20 km from Nelspruit and its World Cup football stadium. It is only 30 minutes drive in the other direction to the Kruger National Park and surrounding game parks. The house has all the modern-comforts required to make your stay in Mpumalanga an enjoyable one.
Accommodation
The house is self-contained in its own gardens and is comprised of a spacious living area, with separate TV area, large fully fitted kitchen with dining area with seating for 8. There are four bedrooms available each with their own bathroom. Outside there is a large shaded veranda, gardens and secure parking for your cars.

Facilities
Kitchen and dining area
There is a beautiful rosewood fitted kitchen with granite tops equipped with an American style fridge/freezer; gas hob, large electric oven, combination microwave/grill oven and stainless steel extractor fan.
Off the kitchen there is a utility/scullery area with a dishwasher, double sink, washing machine which leads out to an enclosed courtyard with drying lines. Off the kitchen is the dining area with a table large enough to seat 8 people which has a door opening onto the veranda.
Sitting room (ground floor)
Open plan sitting room with sofas and armchairs and double doors opening onto the veranda overlooking the gardens. Within the open plan area there is a separate TV area with a sofa, armchair and flat screen TV.
Sitting room (first floor)
In addition to the open plan sitting room on the ground floor, there is also a large sitting room area on the first floor, which the bedrooms lead off. There is a sofa and armchair and flat screen TV in the sitting room on the first floor and double doors open onto the large balcony overlooking the gardens.
Gardens & Outdoor Facilities
The house is built on what was previously an avocado orchard and several of the original trees can be found in the gardens providing delightful shade in the hot, sunny summers, along with additional young avocado, lemon, lime, mango, grapefruit and guava trees. We have also planted a variety of indigenous trees to attract birdlife to the gardens. Our guests are welcome to try any of the produce available during their stay.
There is a large shaded verandah with patio table and chairs for 8 for enjoyable meals outside and no house in South Africa would be complete without a braai (BBQ)! The gates to the property as electronically controlled and there is parking space for numerous cars as well as 3 garage spaces. |
