DESCRIPTION:
We have established a lodge in White River, Mpumalanga, on the Country Lane Farm which consists of 15 hectares of macadamia nut and avocado pear trees. The lodge has seven double, en-suite bedrooms all with televisions, DVD players and courtesy fridges.
Accommodation
GARDEN ROOM
Queen sized bed with entrance to the garden and patio. Bath and shower ensuite with double vanity. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility, hairdryer.
HIBISCUS ROOM
Outside entrance next to main lodge. Queen sized bed, shower and double vanity ensuite. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility, hairdryer.
MANGO ROOM
Twin beds, shower and bath ensuite, double vanity. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility, hairdryer. Extra single bed could be put into room.
CYCAS COTTAGE
Close to main lodge with its own patio, entrance. Two single beds or one king bed. Shower and double vanity ensuite. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility. Extra single bed could be put into room.
LAVENDER COTTAGE
Queen sized bed with private patio and entrance. Bath / shower room ensuite with double vanity. Private lounge adjoins the bedroom with DSTV, DVD player, fans, fridge, tea and coffee facility and sofa beds. Sleeps max four.
PALM SUITE
Upstairs in main lodge, large room with king sleigh bed and extra single bed if required. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility. Shower room with double basins.
LITTLE PALM
Upstairs, smaller room with queen bed and shower room ensuite with double basins. DSTV, DVD player, fan, tea and coffee facility.
Clivia Suite
Queen bedroom with shower and bath ensuite, private lounge with sleeper couch for children.
Azalia Room
Queen bedroom with shower ensuite.
Bauhenia Room
Two single beds or one king size bed with shower ensuite
Facilities
The Lodge is centrally situated on the farm and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. A large fish pond nestles on a granite floor and is home to other aquatic life. The lilies bloom on the water and make a restful place to sit and take in the peace under the shady trees. Large palms and many old, indigenous trees attract a variety of birds into the garden. Many species have been identified.
Come and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere around the pool and listen to the birds as they settle for the night.
We have a large swimming pool which is situated conveniently just off the lodge patio and gives a truly relaxed atmosphere where guests can laze around in the chaise lounges and read or just take in the serenity of the garden. The pool is unfenced and parents are requested to take responsibility of their children.
Breakfast and Dining
Full breakfast is provided and tea and coffee is available at all times. Evening meals are on request only and limited to allow for easy catering. Braais can be arranged.
Activities and Attractions
There are many activities in the area. Chimp Eden was established 4 years ago and has rescued 30 chimps which they keep in safety. The Panorama Route is a drive through beautiful country and some of the old historical areas of Mpumalanga. This includes the Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrims Rest, Sudwala Caves, Three Rondavels and God’s Window to name a few. The Kruger International Airport is also nearby and convenient for those who prefer not to drive. We are able to arrange pickups at any time convenient to you.
There are several golf courses in the vicinity, one only 15 minutes away. Cycling is a very popular activity in this area and many guests take an early morning ride to Hazyview, Sabie or Graskop. Why not pop into Harry’s Pancake Parlour for a bite to eat or a cuppachino before returning back to relax at the pool.
If you wish to go to the Kruger Park there are several tours which can be arranged. Open Safari vehicles with a guide or a day trip with your host. Should you be driving the Numbi Gate is only 45 minutes away. Hazyview is only an hour away by car and there are many activities in that area. Abseiling, Horse Riding, Quad Biking, Microlighting, Helicopter Flips, Elephant Rides etc.

Should laundry be required this can be accommodated.
Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
