DESCRIPTION:
Our well established guest house, the Villa Ticino, is situated in the centre of the picturesque, malaria-free mountain village of Sabie, within a short walk of shops and restaurants. Villa Ticino in Sabie is perfectly placed as an excellent base from which to reach all the numerous tourist sights in the region and is only 40 minutes’ drive from the Kruger National Park.
Accommodation
Villa Ticino, a spacious European guest villa of 650 m² developed in a wide open-plan style with high wooden ceilings, offers guests:
• an attractive split-level lounge with an open fire place and a selection of books and magazines as well as comfortable settees and chairs to linger and relax
• a snug residents’ bar with information corner
• an airy breakfast room with eye-catching featured Mediterranean wall mural
• a 60 m² generously covered terrace with splendid vistas through to the garden and the mountains beyond
• a secluded private swimming pool for relaxation or a refreshing dip
• enclosed parking, one bay for every guest room, which is locked during the night
• six en-suite light and stylish guest rooms of modern design all with private patio or with private balcony.
Each individual, well-appointed and welcoming bedroom of timeless elegance opens on to a private patio or private balcony with an unobstructed view of the garden scenery. Some guest rooms have twin beds, one a queen size bed and one a king size bed by prior arrangement, all with embroidered percale linen. They have tea/coffee making facilities, seating, safe, television with standard channels, luggage rack, radio alarm, hairdryer, bar-fridge, heater, electric blankets in winter, dressing-table-cum-desk, ceiling fan and two prong plugs. Our immaculate and contemporary well lit bathrooms, mainly with shower, are tiled to the ceiling, either in nature-inspired colours or in soothing neutral tones with decorative touches for visual appeal and well being.
For the comfort and wellbeing of all our valued guests we regret that smoking is not allowed indoors. Our establishment is built on a slope making it unfortunately unsuitable for people with disabilities.
Villa Ticino is well designed with thoughtful touches and attention to detail throughout. The wellbeing and comfort of our guests has always been foremost in our minds. Welcoming niches with intimate seating enable different groups to sit together to enjoy quality time in the Villa’s invitingly relaxed but elegant ambience.
BREAKFAST
Our popular breakfast consists of a daily changing set speciality, complimented by a buffet with fresh fruits, fruit juices, cereals, yogurts, a variety of different breads, cheese, cold meats, jams, home bakes as well as choice of teas and our special Ticino blend of coffee. Breakfast is served from 7h30 to 9h00 either inside in our airy breakfast room with Ticino country flair or in warmer weather al fresco accompanied by chirping birds. For guest’s privacy, table settings are individual in both areas.
